ALBANY MOTOR SPEEDWAY 2010 RULES FOR MINI STOCK

MINI STOCK

CAR

Any 4 cylinder car or truck.

BODY

A. Body must be strictly stock.

B. No modifications except aftermarket nose OK.

C. Roll cage required

D. 5" spoiler allowed

E. All flammable interiors must be removed.

F. Must have 5-point racing belts.

G. Fire extinguisher required.

H. Fenders may be trimmed.

I. Racing seats required

J. Fuel cells required

CHASSIS AND SUSPENSION

A. Racing springs allowed front and rear

B. Stock shocks and struts.

C. Must be in stock location.

WEIGHT

A. Single cam engine 2300 after the race minus 1 lb. per lap burn off.

B. D.O.H.C. engines 2500 lbs after race minus 1 lb. per lap burn off.

C. At technical director's discretion cars maybe required to add weight for modifications, such as oversize cam, or other modifications.

ENGINE

A. Any 4 cylinder. No rotary. No turbo.

B. Engines must be  same type for make and model of chassis.

C. No hi-performance engine of any kind.

D. Maximum overbore is 0.60 + 0.10.

E. May run 500 cfm Holley 2 Barrell Carb (unaltered) or Stock Fuel System ONLY.

F. Fuel injection OK.

G. Stock intake for that model car only no alterations allowed.

H. Stock ignition system only

CAMSHAFT
A. Stock type or OEM flat tappet hydraulic camshaft ONLY. NO roller cams or solid tappet cams.

B. After market camshaft allowed.

C. Stock valve springs ONLY.

      
DRIVE TRAIN

A. Rear end must be strictly stock in make and model. Locked rear end OK.

B. Any gear

C. Must have stock transmission for make and model.

D. All gears must work.

CLUTCH

A. Stock type clutch ONLY.

B. No aluminum flywheels.

C. No direct drives.

EXHAUST

A. Can run economy header. Must have mufflers.

FUEL

A. Pump gas.

B. Stock fuel pump only

WHEELS AND TIRES

A. 8" steel wheels only

B. Any DOT street tire, no DOT American Racers or DOT Hoosiers
