ALBANY MOTOR SPEEDWAY 2012 RULES FOR MINI STOCK

 MINI STOCK

CAR

Any 4 cylinder car or truck.

BODY

A. Body must be stock appearing.

B. May run after market body. Roof must be stock, no modifications. No slope noses.

C. Hulling of body ok, but must keep stock firewall and floor pan. Trunk area must be enclosed from drivers compartment.

D. 5" spoiler allowed. May run 3 supports same height as spoiler and 12 inches long.

E. All flammable interiors must be removed.

F. Must have 5-point racing belts.

G. Fire extinguisher required.

H. Fenders may be trimmed.

I. Racing seats required

J. Fuel cells required

 K. No push bars or sharp edges on body or spoiler.

CHASSIS AND SUSPENSION

A. Racing springs allowed front and rear

B. Stock shocks and struts in stock location. Strut brackets may be slotted.

C. Must be stock chasis.

 D. May run screw jacks and adjustable shackles.

WEIGHT

A. Single cam engine 2300 after the race minus 1 lb. per lap burn off.

B. D.O.H.C. engines 2500 lbs after race minus 1 lb. per lap burn off.

 C. At technical director's discretion cars maybe required to add weight for modifications.

 ENGINE

A.  Any 4 cylinder. No rotary. No turbo.

B. Engines must be same type for make and model of chassis.

C. Engines must be mounted in stock location.

D. Maximum overbore is 0.60 + 0.10.

E. May run 500 cfm Holley 2 Barrell Carb (unaltered) or Stock Fuel System ONLY.

F. Fuel injection OK. Any intake permitted.

G. Aftermarket flat tappet hydraulic or solid lift cam allowed. No roller cams.

H. Any ignition system OK.

DRIVE TRAIN

A. Rear end must be strictly stock in make and model. Locked rear end OK.

B. Any gear

C. Must have stock transmission for make and model.

D. All gears must work.

E. Must run stock brake system. Aftermarket pedals with one master cylinder ok. Brakes must be operable on all 4 wheels. No brake bias valves or right front shut off valve.

CLUTCH

A. Stock type clutch ONLY.

B. No aluminum flywheels.

C. No direct drives.

EXHAUST

A. Can run economy headers.  Must have mufflers.

FUEL

A. Racing Gas Allowed.

B. Stock fuel pump only.

C. NO ALCOHOL

WHEELS AND TIRES

A. 8" steel wheels only. Bead locks permitted.

B. May run Hoosier or American Racer 8x13 racing tires. 8" DOT street okay.
