ALBANY MOTOR SPEEDWAY 2012 RULES FOR ENDURO

ENDURO

CAR

Any American car

BODY

A. All interior glass must be removed.

B. Full roll cage required

C. Race seat required

D. 3" lap and shoulder harness required.

E. Window nets required

F. Racing fuel cell required

G. No electric fuel pumps.

H. Fire extinguisher required.

I.   Body hulling ok, but floor pan, firewall, and trunk floor must remain stock.

J. Dashboard may be replaced with sheet metal.

K. Must have stock type bumpers. No bump Bars of any kind. May have radiator protection bar but it cannot extend past bumper.

L. NO Spoilers Allowed.

M. NO aftermarket pedals or master cylinders.

WEIGHT

A. Weight after race 3400 lbs, minus 1 lb. per lap burn off.

WHEELS AND TIRES

A. 8" steel wheel. No wide 5 adaptors. 

B. DOT Tires only no larger than 275-15. If car comes with 16 inch wheels they will be permitted.

C. No tire treating chemicals allowed. Tires will be subject to durometer test.

D. Bead lock on right rear only.

MECHANICAL

A. No racing parts - STOCK O.E.M. only. 

ENGINE

A. Engine must be strictly stock and same type for make and model.  350 ok for all GM cars, but no high performance parts of any kind.

B. No High Performance Engine or part of any kind.

C. Maximum overbore 0.60 + 0.10.

D. Stock carb or unaltered single line Holley

E. Stock valves, rocker arms and studs. No poly locks or guide plates.

F. Carburetor must be stock for make and model, no alterations of any kind.

G. Engine will be subject to vacuum test. To be legal engine must pull 17 inches of vacuum at 1000 rpm.

H. Stock cast iron intake and exhaust manifolds (NO headers) must run mufflers.

CHASSIS AND SUSPENSION

A. O.E.M. suspension front and rear.

B. Stock shocks, and struts.

C. May run heavy duty or racing springs but must be mounted in stock location.

D. May use larger studs for wheels.

E. 1" lug nuts required

DRIVE TRAIN

A. Rear end must be strictly stock for make and model.

B. Rear end may be locked.

C. Any gear.

D. Must have stock transmission for make and model.

E. All gears must work.

F. Drive shaft must be painted white.

G. All torque converters must be stock and working.

H. NO aluminum drive shafts.

EXHAUST

A. Stock exhaust only.

B. Must run mufflers.

FUEL

A. Must run pump gas only.

B. Fuel may be checked by track.
